About

Welcome to The Literature Empire!

My name is Eva, and I’ve recently graduated from MA Publishing at the University of Derby. I’m currently in the job-hunting stage, but I do a bit of freelance writing as well. I’ve always loved reading and writing, which made me set up The Literature Empire several years ago.

When I first set up the Czech version of the blog in 2014, I wanted to share my love for the literature and show people how amazing and helpful books can be. I did many interviews, book reviews, book hauls, travel articles and theatre reviews, but soon after I moved to the UK in 2016, I decided to switch my writing to English.

Generally, I read more fiction than non-fiction, but you can look forward to reading reviews for this genre as well. So far, my most favourite books I’ve ever read are To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, On the Road by Jack Kerouac, Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer and 12 Rules of Life by Jordan B. Peterson. I’m also a fan of poetry – more reading than writing – and I’ve always loved poems by Jack Kerouac. I believe that the books can say a lot about their reader, so hopefully, this will allow you to get to know me better.

If you have any questions or ideas about website content, feel free to contact me on my email theliteratureempire@gmail.com or leave a comment under any article. I love talking to other people who love books.

Have fun!
