20 Books to Look Out for in 2020

February 4, 2020

Well. To begin with, I have to say that the publishing date of this article is a massive failure. It was supposed to go on the website in January, but I just couldn’t make myself to finish it on time. Anyway, I still thought that I might share a list of 20 books (10 fiction … More 20 Books to Look Out for in 2020

So far, this blog has been only about books and writers. But how about we discover a bit of cinematography, too? I’ve always loved reading, but films have always been a significant part of my life as well. In this article, I’d like to connect these 2 passions of mine, so I chose 5 of … More TOP 5 Movies Based on Books

Atticus – Love Her Wild

August 2, 2019

I think that this blog needs at least a tiny bit of poetry. It has recently become one of my favourite genres. I’ve always been a bit scared of poetry because I thought that I wouldn’t understand it. However, we often discover the best things when we leave our comfort zone. For me, poetry is … More Atticus – Love Her Wild

January 5, 2019

One of my resolutions for 2019 is to publish my articles on The Literature Empire more often. And… TAH-DAH! A new post is here! And what is it going to be about? We’ll talk about a book I fell in love after a few pages. It’s a story full of travelling, adventures, meeting new people, … More Jon Krakauer – Into The Wild

Colm Tóibín – Brooklyn

June 16, 2017

“Some people are nice and if you talk to them properly, they can be even nicer.” Hi, everyone! You probably didn’t expect I would publish a new article ever again. And here I am! If you want to learn more about Franz Kafka, Prague is the place to explore. He was born there on 3 July 1883 and spent there a big part of his short life. To this day, you can still visit many places that are tied to his life. Find his birthplace, visit some of the places where he stayed (for example, house number 22 on the Golden Lane nearby the Prague Castle), have a cup of coffee in Café Louvre where he was meeting with others or visit the place of his final rest at the New Jewish Cemetery. You can also see many statues commemorating Kafka's legacy and importance to the world's literature. And if you want to see original letters, historical images, and first editions and learn more about the life of this complicated man, it is worth visiting the Kafka Museum.
Getting back into reading: Starter kit 📚
It's been quite a while since I've last posted here, right? Well, those few months have me a chance to reflect and get out of the reading slump. A few days ago, I finished reading Leonard and Hungry Paul by Rónán Hession (the review will land on the blog soon-ish). Right after that, I put together a small pile of books I'd love to read next. Some of them are my all-time favourites, while other books will be something new for me. ⠀
